I was always fascinated by Bach’s two-part inventions and played many of them as a kid.  I believe there is a little Bach inspiration in this piece that, by the way, came to me so quickly I thought it appropriate to name it Serendipity.

Serendipity starts off simply with just the right hand playing and a little melody carried by the left hand.  Then at measure 23 the roles are reversed and the left hand gets busy.  By measure 39, both hands are going and at measure 49 we’re back to where we started with the right hand doing all of the work.  All 70 measures go by quickly with the entire piece lasting a mere minute and a half (a perfect piano recital piece if you ask me)!

You can download the sheet music from here: Serendipity

I hope to some day see someone play this (besides me)

We make apps for clients but we also make our own apps.  Check out our fun word game, Top-Word.  Your goal is to find the TOP WORD in the puzzle.  That’s the longest, most difficult word to find.  How hard could it be when there are only 16 tiles?  If you find it, your screen will EXPLODE!  Top-Word is a timed game but the timer actually increases every time you find a word so you can keep the game going as long as you keep finding words.

Give it a try.  You’ll love it!
